Bamboo Espalier

This design begins two lines of fruit trees, a smaller version of the same design holds the other end of the wires for the two lines of espalier. The smaller screen was designed to melt into the background behind the larger one and the fruit trees. For this design we used horizontal wraps of tonkin bamboo around steel for stability. Then we carved in tre gai bamboo to create a broken trellis.
